A “Santa caught on camera” video is a short clip that looks like night-vision security-camera footage of Santa visiting your home on Christmas Eve. With HoHo Cam! you send one photo of your living room or tree and your child's first name. Within 48 hours you get a ~15-second HD video of Santa in your actual room: he leaves gifts, notices the camera, waves and says your child's name. It's made with AI and checked before delivery. $19 for one child, or $39 for a pack of 4 videos. Orders open November 2026.
What the footage looks like
The video is filmed from a fixed spot high in a corner of your room, the way a home security camera sees it: grainy night-vision tones, a Christmas Eve timestamp in the corner and the soft glow of your tree lights. Then Santa walks in.
- He tiptoes past your furniture: your sofa, your rug, your tree. Your photo is the starting frame, so it's unmistakably your home.
- He leaves presents under your tree.
- He notices the camera, turns, and waves.
- “Merry Christmas, Emma!” He says your child's name in his voice (English or Spanish), and the name appears on a card at the end.

Do I need a security camera?
No. You don't need a Ring, Nest or any camera at all, and nothing connects to your devices. We start from a single still photo. For the most believable result, take the photo from where a camera would hang: up high in a corner, wide enough to see the tree and some floor in front of it, with the lights on and no people in the shot. How to show it on Christmas morning
- Set it up the night before. Download the video to your phone so it plays without a connection.
- Start with a question. “The camera was on all night… want to see if it caught anything?”
- Play it on the big screen. Cast or AirPlay it to the TV so everyone sees Santa in your room at once.
- Film their reaction. Have a second phone ready. The moment Santa says their name is the one you'll replay for years.
- Keep the story consistent. Agree with everyone at home on when “the camera recorded” (for example, 2:13 AM).
My child wants to set up a camera to catch Santa. Now what?
Lots of kids ask this the week before Christmas. A gentle way to play along: let them “set up” a camera (an old phone, a toy camera, or just pointing at the corner where the footage will come from). Explain that Santa's magic usually makes him invisible, but sometimes a camera gets lucky. On Christmas morning, the footage shows Santa in exactly that room. If you'd rather not play along, that's fine too: every family handles the Santa story differently.

Questions parents ask
Is a “Santa caught on camera” video real footage?
No, and we say so clearly. Santa, his motion and his voice are created with AI video and voice tools, starting from your photo. The security-camera look is a creative effect, not real CCTV footage. Every video carries a small “AI” label.
Does it work with my Ring, Nest or doorbell camera?
It doesn't connect to any camera, and we're not affiliated with any camera brand. You get a regular HD video file to download and play on a phone, tablet or TV. The view is indoors, like a living-room camera, not a doorbell.
Can Santa say my child's name?
Yes. Santa says the first name in his voice, in English or Spanish, and it appears on a name card at the end. You can add how to pronounce it, and the order form shows exactly what Santa will say before you pay.
How long does it take?
Within 48 hours, by email. Order by December 21 for delivery by December 23. Christmas slots are limited, and every video is checked before delivery.
How much does it cost?
Single video $19 (1 video, 1 child). Pack of 4 videos $39 (one video per child, up to 4 children). You pay once; no subscription.
What ages is it for?
It's made for believers aged about 3 to 9. Older kids who know a lot about AI may be more skeptical.
